Jim Fox-Davis as Superman
Painted for my friend Jim Fox-Davis, for his 51st birthday. He's a big fan of Alex Ross, so I did my best to imitate his style. I think I can do better - it's been about seventeen years since I've painted anything with real paints. Acrylic on canvas. By the way, I'm not a big fan of acrylic. Compared to oils, it's like painting in mud. But you can get things done quickly in acrylics, and I'll learn the technique eventually. |
